did you know that you can re-grow scallions in a glass of water?

after you use the green parts of your scallions all you have to do is put the white bottom, with roots, into a little cup of cool water. you’ll start noticing that your scallions are growing the very next day! and within about a week they’ll look like mine!

according to what i’ve read on the interwebs you can only do this once before re-planting in soil, but it’s totally awesome and worth it!

i started out with just a baby food jar but as the roots have grown and i have added more scallion bottoms after using them in recipes, i’ve had to upgrade to a mason jar! YAY!

This girl keeps showing me such awesome things! I use scallions all the time!
